Shawn’s interest in the financial world started as kid in rural Oklahoma. In the summers, he worked for a local attorney who first taught him about compounding interest and financial independence: Each dollar you have can become a “worker” for you; if you have enough workers, then you don’t have to work anymore but simply manage them.

Shawn then connected with a financial advisor in the area who taught him about serving the community, the value of hard work and the importance of your word. Today, the lessons Shawn learned from these two men guide him every day in the work he does with clients.
As an independent advisor, Shawn seeks to educate others to help them feel confident about their financial decision-making. He wants to help clients realize that money is not a goal but rather a tool we use to accomplish our goals, such as traveling the world, educating their children, retiring with dignity and leaving a legacy. Shawn enjoys the process of evaluating a client’s current situation and helping them create a plan to get them to where they truly want to be.

Shawn works with individuals, families, oil and gas professionals, and business owners to help them plan for retirement, minimize taxes and create income strategies for their retirement lifestyle. He takes a straightforward approach, valuing clear communication and honesty.
Along with a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Central Oklahoma, Shawn has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. As a CFP® professional, Shawn takes a holistic, personalized approach to financial planning and has made a commitment to act as a fiduciary when providing financial advice to a client, putting your best interests first.

Shawn enjoys spending time with his wife, Stacy, and two children, Colton and Brooklyn. When not in the office, you can likely find Shawn enjoying the outdoors – hunting, fishing, shooting rifles or golf, which he’s teaching his son. He also practices Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
